A 7-day Egypt trip works well for many first-time travellers, but 10 days usually gives you a calmer pace and a more complete classic route across Cairo and Upper Egypt.
Most travellers need at least 7 to 10 days in Egypt if they want Cairo plus Upper Egypt at a comfortable pace. Shorter trips can still work, but they usually require tighter route choices and more tradeoffs.

The best time to visit Egypt for most first-time travellers is usually between October and April, when sightseeing feels more comfortable and classic Cairo, Nile, Luxor, and Aswan routes are easier to enjoy.
